About DPHS

The Department of Public Health Sciences (DPHS) is located in the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSM) and is organized into five divisions: Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Population Health Sciences, Health Services Research and Policy, Environment and Public Health, and Prevention Science and Community Health.

DPHS has achieved a comprehensive 7-year accreditation from CEPH, the accrediting body for public health programs, maintaining continuous accreditation since 1982.

Certified in Public Health Credential

DPHS offers current students and alumni a pre-mock exam, boot camp, and post-mock exam to prepare for the Certified in Public Health (CPH) exam, administered by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
