Through innovative public health research, the faculty investigates determinants of different disease, as well as effective prevention and intervention strategies that will ultimately advance population health through training and dissemination of ground breaking discoveries.

Currently, there are 42 full-time faculty involved in highly interdisciplinary translational research, as well as an active group of secondary and voluntary faculty from across the university, the community and beyond who are leaders in their respective fields.
Our faculty work on research projects in countries throughout South America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Africa. These programs provide new understanding and effective dissemination strategies that result in important and timely impacts on the health of populations, both locally and nationally.
