We are seeking volunteers for research.
Welcome to the University of Miami’s Tobacco Control and Prevention Research Group! Our research team is committed to advancing scientific knowledge, implementing effective strategies for smoking cessation, and creating positive change among diverse populations. First, we are committed to enhancing smoking cessation strategies, particularly among high-risk populations including people living with HIV, cancer survivors, and construction workers. By addressing the needs and complexities of each of these populations, our mission is to develop tailored interventions and evidence-based solutions that promote sustainable tobacco control. Secondly, we are at the forefront of improving health communication and tobacco regulation surrounding emerging tobacco use products such as hookah and e-cigarettes. Through our innovative research and collaboration, we strive to create healthier communities by tackling the challenges posed by these emerging tobacco trends. Lastly, committed to healthy equity, we also aim to improve cancer detection among minority populations.
