The Division of Biostatistics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Public Health Sciences will provide partial scholarships to its graduate students. Students accepted and who choose to matriculate full time in the ten-month, 33-credit Master of Science (M.S.) in Biostatistics program will be granted an award, which will be valued at $7,500.
There are various assistantship opportunities available for graduate students in the Division of Biostatistics. This will typically take the form of a Research Assistantship and/or a Teaching Assistantship. There are also opportunities available to gain professional experience while working as a Graduate Assistant.
Tuition scholarships are provided to Ph.D. students along with these Assistantships.
We will endeavor to find small projects for M.S. students to work on (typically during their second year), for which they can earn a stipend on an hourly basis. This will also provide M.S. students some real world experience where they can apply classroom knowledge. This type of project work will be supervised by a biostatistics faculty member.
