The Florida Institute for Health Innovation (FIHI) objective is to apply a multi-sector systems approach as a neutral convener for public-private partnership development of health-related matters for the citizens of Palm Beach County, the state of Florida and the national community. Its mission is to “…advance the knowledge and practice of public health to promote, protect and improve the health of all.” The FIHI is located in Palm Beach County, but serves the entire state of Florida. FIHI was supported at its inception in 2006, in part by a grant from the University of Miami, the Robert Wood Foundation and the Quantum Foundation. The FIHI conducts research activities through its five centers: Center on Sustainable Environment and Safe Water, Center of Prevention and Primary Care, Center on Workforce, Center on Bio-preparedness and Health System Readiness and Center on Research, Training and Education.
